The resulting patterns, derived from Ward's clustering method on rotated principal component scores, are used as input in a fire management plan to restore niches for bird species such as black and yellow rails and mottled ducks. The purpose of this research is to classify the days from 1979 to 2018 based on circulation patterns near the surface (i.e., 1000-hPa) and at the highest level of airflow affecting bird migration (i.e., 700-hPa), across the Gulf Coast region of the United States. The local winds can affect phenomena of economic, ecological, and/or aesthetic values, such as bird migrations and prescribed burns to restore bird habitats. The regional-to-synoptic-scale steering atmospheric circulation is important for advecting energy, mass, and momentum across space, with the near-surface wind being the local manifestation of this circulation.
Additional Malaise trap collections over extended time periods are needed to verify the validity of all observations and preliminary conclusions made to date. Investigation of the distribution of Leucotrichia species with altitude reveals a preference by several species for higher altitude locations. Our collections also evidenced multiple species from the same collecting site, with seven species each found in both lowland and mid-altitude sites. Recent collections (2015–2021) of new caddisfly species and country records in this genus were effected primarily by use of Malaise traps. Thus, more new country records are possible with additional collecting. However, the similarities among faunas in all these countries is very low (< 35%). Panama’s species assemblage is most similar to Costa Rica and Mexico. Herein, four new species are described ( Leucotrichia cortadera sp. Subsequently, one new species and four new country records were added to Panama’s fauna. Prior to 2016, three species of caddisflies in the genus Leucotrichia (Trichoptera: Hydroptilidae) were known from Panama. Findings assist conference owners develop essential communication strategies for green attendees. Findings demonstrate that attitudes and ecological beliefs play an essential role in conference app adoption, in comparison with performance expectations, social impacts, and facilitation conditions, as presented in the traditional technology acceptance literature. This study provides empirical evidence to add ecological beliefs as a key predictor of green IS adoption models.
